Async patch was removed because of the gpl, and Sporif also abandoned it, however Ph42oN created the dxvk-gplasync project.
Would it be possible to add it as a patch?

i second this proposal currently using using dxvk-gplasync in wine, currently using lutris and installing via aur and replacing default dxvk files in lutris to be used. unfortunately the process only works for wine and not steam proton. The next step to use system libraries used from the installed gplasync till its accepted in the current the frogging family community of patches.

If the patches are copied to the community dxvk folder and change the extension from patch to mydxvkpatch using your master patches works in when using dxvk-tools from frogging family. One other tip follow there readme instead of running makepkg - si
