The fix for the decoding issues (see ticket #28) has been back-ported from v1.0.0 to v0.5.4.
You may recall the v0.5 branch has been kept for compatibility with web3.py v5.
It is strongly advise to update to the latest version of both the UR SDK (v1.0.0 at the moment) and web3.py (> 6.0.0).
Indeed, the SDK v0.5 branch supports less UR functions than v1.0.0, and does not support chaining for building transactions. Moreover, v0.5.4 is likely to be the very last version of the v0.5 branch.
