"Customize" Link Appears in Masterbar on Frontend for Block Themes #8684

Quick summary

The "Customize" link, which redirects to the Customizer, is displayed in the masterbar on the site's frontend, even if the site is using a Block theme.

  • Purchase and activate the "WP-DOS" theme
  • Navigate to the site's frontend
  • Observe that the "Customize" link is still present in the masterbar

Thank you for adding this issue, @okmttdhr

I tested a few other Block themes and saw that the Customizer was showing up for several of them.

I suspect that this is related to ‘Untangling Calypso’, such that site specific screens default to WP Admin style screens. This means that seeing ‘Customizer’ in the dashboard when using Block themes is normal.
