2008-06-10 Sebastien Bigaret <[email protected]>
* ivy/ivy.py (IvyServer.remove_client): added a parameter
'trigger_application_callback' controlling whether the dedicated
callback methods should be called
(UDP_init_and_listen): Fixed: the method should not raise when the
connection to a new client fails. Rather, the error is logged but it is
ignored --it was not the case, causing an agent to stop listening to UDP
messages and as a result, ignoring the new agents connecting to the bus
afterwards.
* ivy/std_api.py (IvyInit): Changed the default values for on_cnx_fct and
on_die_fct
2006-11-29 Sebastien Bigaret <[email protected]>
* ivy/ivy.py (IvyServer.handle_regexp_change)
* ivy/std_api.py (IvyBindRegexpChange): Changed the value of
parameter 'event' passed to the callback, after Olivier Saal
kindly suggested that using protocol constants (ADD_REGEXP,
DEL_REGEXP) was not exactly appropriate in this context!
* ivy/ivy.py (trace): added. New log. level TRACE defined if
environment variable IVY_LOG_TRACE is defined
(UDP_init_and_listen): now correctly handles the modified UDP
broadcast message when it includes an agent's id and name. The
test checking that we're not dealing with a broadcast we sent has
been changed: it now checks the announced agent id.
(IvyClient): attribute 'is_fully_initialized' suppressed &
replaced by attribute 'status' which can have 3 states:
NOT_INITIALIZED, INITIALIZATION_IN_PROGRESS and INITIALIZED.
(the removed attribute+'agent_name' were previously used for that
purpose)
(IvyClient.__init__): new parameters agent_id=None,
agent_name=None added.
(IvyServer._get_client): new parameters agent_id &
agent_name. Changed behaviour: if agent_id is supplied, the method
now checks that a client with the same id already exists; if it
does, the method exits by returning None.
(IvyServer.agent_id): new attribute: a unique id per agent (used
by UDP_init_and_listen(), see above)
2006-11-24 Sebastien Bigaret <[email protected]>
* ivy/ivy.py (IvyServer.__init__): fixed: parameter ready_msg was
ignored. Thanks to Frédéric Cadier for noticing.
2006-11-23 Sebastien Bigaret <[email protected]>
* ivy/ivy.py (IvyClient.remove_regexp):
(IvyServer.unbind_msg):
* ivy/std_api.py (IvyUnBindMsg): they now return the regexp
corresponding to the subscription that has been removed
2005-04-28 Sebastien Bigaret <[email protected]>
* ivy/ivy.py (IvyClient): variable 'regexps' can be accessed
concurrently, it is now protected by a specific lock
* ivy/ivy.py (IvyClient.remove_subscription): Added
(IvyServer.unbind_msg): Implemented
2005-04-27 Sebastien Bigaret <[email protected]>
* ivy/ivy.py (IvyClient._send): Added. All methods needing to send
informations to a remote agent through the socket are modified to
use this method instead of directly accessing self.socket.send().
2005-04-22 Sebastien Bigaret <[email protected]>
* ivy/ivy.py: Changed default logging level to INFO (was: DEBUG)
* ivy/ivy.py (UDP_init_and_listen): added support for multicast
addresses. TTL set to 64 (arbitrary TTL value taken from
ivysocket.c:SocketAddMember())
(is_multicast): added
* ivy/ivy.py (decode_ivybus): fixed: when the ip part in the
parameter ivybus was already made of 4 elements, the methods was
wrongly appending a '.' before returning it
2005-04-21 Sebastien Bigaret <[email protected]>
* ivy/ivy.py: documentation updated
(IvyServer.get_client): made private, renamed to _get_client
(IvyServer.external_ip): removed useless method (see below)
(IvyServer.__init__):
(UDP_init_and_listen): Changed: the UDP server and the TCPServer
now bound to INADDR_ANY and not to our IP, so that it behaves as the
C library.
2005-04-20 Sebastien Bigaret <[email protected]>
* ivy/ivy.py (IvyServer): changed: _clients_lock is now a
_global_lock
(IvyServer._add_subscription): the generation of the unique id is now
protected by a critical section so that it is MT-safe.
* ivy/ivy.py (IvyServer.handle_msg): fixed: ignores when asked to
handle an unknown subscription/regexp id
