Router: ASUS RT-AX88UFirmware: Merlin (latest version)
Setup: SWAP enabled, 2.4 GHz network dedicated to IoT devices, WPA2/WPA3 Personal security
DNS: Cloudflare + Quad9
Issue Description: After installing Skynet and explicitly whitelisting the IP addresses to which my IoT sensors send data, the sensors experience frequent disconnections. Although they appear connected and show some traffic, actual sensor data transmission is being blocked.
Expected Behavior: IoT sensors should maintain stable connections and be able to send data to whitelisted IP addresses without interruption.
Current Behavior: Sensors remain connected but fail to transmit data regularly after Skynet installation and IP whitelisting. Traffic is present, but essential data packets are seemingly blocked.
Steps to Reproduce:
Install Skynet firewall on ASUS RT-AX88U with Merlin firmware.
Whitelist specific IP addresses required for IoT sensor data transmission (I used the domain option to whitelist).
Monitor IoT sensor connections and data flow.
Troubleshooting done:
Verified correct IP addresses are whitelisted in Skynet.
Tested sensors without Skynet (sensors transmit data normally).
Any assistance or advice on resolving this issue would be appreciated.
